Exam and Clean

At Frank Dental, we recommend to most people to see us every 6 months for regular check-ups and hygiene maintenence through the use of ultrasonic and hand scalers as well as a general polish.

In your very first appointment, Dr. Frank Hartley will provide a full comprehensive oral examination and create a treatment plan catered to your dental needs. He will give you tips on maintaining or developing your skills for your oral hygiene. He will also give you advise on how to proceed if there is any dental treatment required and what this might involve.

Dr. Frank Hartley uses prophylaxis (polishing) paste and a combination of hand scalers and an ultrasonic scaler to remove build-up of tartar and plaque from the teeth and gums.

After your clean is finished, you may be given a flouride treatment to help give extra strength and protection to your fresh, clean teeth.
